Honoring a Legacy. Advancing Catholic Education.

Welcome to St. Joseph Regional Elementary School.

First opening its doors in 1922, St. Joseph Regional Elementary School has been an important part of our community for generations. Although the school closed in 2020, its story was not finished. Through the vision and dedication of St. Mary of Mount Carmel Parish, we are proud to reopen our doors and begin an exciting new chapter in Catholic education.

As the Catholic school of St. Mary of Mount Carmel Parish, our mission is to nurture the minds, hearts, and spirits of our students through an education rooted in faith, academic excellence, and Christian values. We welcome families of all faith traditions and believe every child deserves the opportunity to discover their God-given gifts, develop a love of learning, and grow in knowledge, character, and faith.

From Little Cubs Preschool to kindergarten and our growing elementary program, we provide a caring and supportive environment that recognizes the uniqueness of every child. Through daily prayer, religious instruction, academic learning, and strong partnerships with families, we build a foundation for success in school and life.

Together, we honor our rich history while building a bright future filled with faith, learning, and opportunity—one child, one grade, and one generation at a time.

Our Mission.

Rooted in the teachings of Jesus Christ and the traditions of the Roman Catholic Church, St. Joseph Regional Elementary School is dedicated to nurturing the spiritual, intellectual, emotional, social, and physical development of every child.

Building upon our rich legacy of Catholic education, we provide a compassionate, faith-filled, and supportive learning environment where children are encouraged to grow in knowledge, character, kindness, and responsibility.

Through strong partnerships with families, dedicated educators, and the Hammonton community, we inspire a lifelong love of learning while guiding students to live their faith through service to others.

As we continue to grow and expand our educational offerings, we remain committed to preserving the values and traditions that have shaped our school, welcoming future generations into a community rooted in faith, family, academic excellence, and service.

“We are so happy and proud to be reopening St. Joseph Regional Elementary School. Our vision is to build on our tradition of excellence dating back to the 1920s as we continue to form young men and women in holiness and knowledge. Catholic education grows from  the values and traditions of the Catholic Church: acknowledging the infinite dignity of the human person, excellence in all endeavors, and the commitment to grow in holiness.

St. Joseph Regional Elementary School is helping our children to be who God is calling them to be.”

— Rev. James King, Pastor, St. Mary of Mount Carmel Parish
